This is a complete kit containing all the cables, camera and monitor for an average sized car. If you are fitting to a van/motorhome go into extension cables and select the motorhome/van extension pack, this will give you longer cables in your kit. The monitor acts as a normal mirror when camera is not on, camera can be wired up to automatically come on when you select reverse. Or the camera can be selected to be on permanantly when you start your vehicle. We provide some useful installation notes for if your fitting it yourself to go with the manufacturers instructions.
