2 Year Guarantee - The quality of the system is second to none. We provide a 24 month guarantee period for all the parts that make up this reversing camera kit. Even beyond this time, we are able to provide spares and attempt low cost monitor repairs should something fail in the distant future.
Upgraded Image Sensor - The image sensor is one of the most important aspects in achieving good picture quality on a reversing camera. We don't accept the base spec when it comes to our cameras. We opt for improved components that we know work well. This reverse camera is fitted with the 4089 premium 700tvl image sensor. We have used it for many years; it provides great colours, a high resolution, as well as being reliable.
All Glass Composite Lens - Often overlooked is the quality of the lens fitted to the camera. This camera is fitted with an all-glass composite lens, giving an excellent image for many years. We steer clear of the cheaper standard plastic+glass lenses, which fade over time due to UV damaging the plastic layers. There is no problem with this camera and the all-glass construction lens.
Night Vision IR LED's - When night time comes you will still benefit from this camera due to the ring of fitted IR LED's. The combination of the IR LED's and the sensitive modern 4089 image sensor means that you will still see any obstacles even at night. Don't worry about these shining at anyone following you; the light is visible to the camera but invisible to the human eye.
Guidelines ON/OFF - As standard the brake light camera will come with static guidelines being added. There will be a trigger loop that allows you to remove these should you not wish to use them. The Monitor also allows you to use its guidelines (if connecting the green reverse trigger wire to reverse gear). The monitor guidelines have the added bonus of allowing you to adjust where they sit on the screen to make them more useful.
Easy to fit - Simply remove your old brake light housing (one bolt at the rear), then pop the brake light housing from the kit in its place, move the bulb from the old housing to the new housing, and that's the camera installed.

Choice of kit power options
On the monitor wiring harness is a 2.1mm DC socket. On the drop down menu of this product, you can select your desired power lead to plug in to this.
The standard hardwiring is supplied with all options, this terminates in a red wire (+12V/+24V), and black wire (earth).
For the ultimate quick install is a lighter plug option. Some people also order this just for the initial setup, before changing to the standard hardwiring/fuse tap.
Fuse taps aka piggyback fuse holders, are the most recent addition to our options. This allows you to "piggyback" off an existing circuit from your fuse box. The most common size fuse found in modern vehicles is the mini blade (size = 10.9mm wide x 16.4mm tall), older vehicles are likely to have the standard blade (size = 19.1mm wide x 18.8mm tall). Download and read our Fuse Tap installation instructions PDF for more information.
Our fuse taps were designed by us, they have a 200cm lead that connects directly to the monitor socket with no soldering / crimping required. There is a black wire with an earth terminal attached - designed to fix to a chassis bolt/screw. This earth wire/terminal can be separated away from the red wire to enable you to find the most convenient ground/earth (although often this is next to the fuse box).
Mirror Monitor Mounting Options
We stock a number of different mounting options for the mirror monitor, depending on what you currently have fitted to your van. Please check the options below, and select the one that you require from the drop down menu above.
Clip over original mirror Mounting
This type of mirror monitor has spring loaded clips on the rear, instead of 4 screw holes for our swan neck brackets to fit. Ideal if you have a van with an interior mirror already fitted.
ACCMB5 (Fit to existing mounting plate on windscreen)
This rear view mirror mounting bracket has been used on some of the Renault Master, Nissan NV400, and Vauxhall Movano vans. It is very distinctive with the 2 vertical running lines. See below image.
ACCMB8 (Fit to existing mounting plate on windscreen)
This rear view mirror mounting bracket has been used on a lot of the Renault Master, Nissan NV400, and Vauxhall Movano vans. It projects out, see below image. The metal mount is often seen in either black or silver finish, the bracket fits both.
ACCMB2 + Button + Glue (add a button)
If you have any vehicle which is missing a windscreen button then you can order this bracket kit, it comes with Loctite 319 rear view mirror bonder, this was recommended to us by a fitter who installs lots of these.
Easy-Fit Wiring
We have been using this type of cabling since 2007, and it has performed perfectly in all of this time. It is called the 4 pin aviation cable, and uses what is known as a 4 pin GX12 connector.
This type of connector is very durable, and can be kept outside exposed to rain and freezing temperatures.
It makes fitting easier, and avoids CANBUS issues due to the monitor powering the camera.
It keeps contacts clean and dry, plus prevents them from accidental separation.
It has become the industry standard connector, which means you aren't forced to buy future cameras/cables/upgrades from one retailer - as parts are interchangeable between numerous suppliers (although we are confident you will be impressed enough with us that you will choose us for any future upgrades/spare parts).
All of our aviation extension cables are high quality, with the inner cores consisting of pure copper. We do not use the cheaper CCA (Copper Coated Aluminium) or CCS (Copper Coated Steel) cables, because they are more prone to failure/degradation over time.
Image Sensor for Camera
This particular system uses a premium CMOS image sensor (not to be confused with the older technology low res CMOS), this runs at 700TVL and gives a really crisp picture with a good colour replication. With our camera you can be assured of good performance and long term reliability.
Monitor has Digital LCD Panel - Not Standard LCD
Our monitor uses a Hi-Res digital panel LCD screen with an 800x480 pixel display. To complicate matters we have seen a difference in quality between 800x480 pixel panels. We only stock LCD panels that have the brightest backlights, and the best colour replication. This costs us approx. 50% more than we could buy the monitors for, however, the reliability, picture quality, our reputation in keeping our many return customers happy, means we are willing to pay the extra (you get what you pay for!).
2 Year Guarantee
We supply with a 2 year Guarantee with us, meaning we will repair or replace any non-user damaged parts that are deemed faulty. Our failure rate is very low even beyond these two years, if you have a problem outside of 2 years we should still have compatible parts and possible repairs for reasonable amounts.
Parts Tested in the UK
The parts of this kit will have been tested twice, once by the factory and once by us. We check all the items in the kit including all cables, trigger wires, IR leds and menu functions to reduce any chance of having a non working part. Our fault rate is extremely low, and we just like to ensure that we avoid any imperfection slipping past. This is why professional fitters love us.
