Numberplate Reversing Camera | 700TVL CMOS | 4 pin connector | CAM502-4PIN
Description
About the small number plate reverse camera mounted in rubber housingThis is one of our latest cameras in, we wanted to add a small flexible camera to our range, with a high resolution. We asked for these cameras to be made with the PC4089 image sensor - the same sensor we use in our brake light cameras, we spent extra to spec the cameras out with 4 glass lenses, instead of the standard 2 glass/2 plastic that you would usually see on these type of cameras (we chose all glass lenses because the plastic lenses go cloudy over time, because of UV exposure from the sun). The PC4089 image sensor is one of the modern latest generation of CMOS (not to be confused with the cheap and cheerful CMOS of the past). As the price is lower than CCD, we have passed these savings on to you. The camera has the 4 pin aviaton plug on its fly lead. The camera is waterproof up to IP68. Please note that the camera has a non waterproof power regulator approx 60cm back from the camera. This must be in a dry, protected environment to avoid premature failure eg inside a tailgate. There are trigger loops which can turn guidelines on/off, and mirror/unmirror the camera (non-mirror is ideal if using the camera facing forward). Camera works on 12V but if you buy with a 12V/24V monitor, the monitor reduces the voltage down to 12V. This is the norm, and most 24V systems actually only supply 12V to the camera. Our present stock uses NTSC CVBS format. Fixing the reversing camera to vehicleThis reversing camera is designed to fit on the ledge above the number plate. To facilitate this, the camera is supplied with a double sided 3M adhesive pad, the correct cut-out for the camera. It also comes with 2x small screws (if needed). Adjusting the cameraThis reversing camera has a very wide angle lens, meaning that it is very forgiving for mounting position. The camera is held in by friction alone, so adjusting is a matter of pushing/twisting the camera until it reaches your desired position. |
See our general guide to installing 4 pin reversing cameras. This includes fitting to stereos inc Kenwood / Sony / Pioneer etc.
