Description

RV207 twin camera compatible 6 pin connector adaptors

  • For a number of years we have stocked these adaptors to support customers who have a 6 pin mini din (PS/2) cable in their motorhome.
  • Most often we supply the CAB99M and CAB99M-Ch2 to assist people who have a Swift/Autotrail/Bessacarr motorhome, and wish to replace one of the Sargent electrical twin cameras (RV207) with our twin lens reversing camera (the cameras fit together and work fine).
  • This adaptor will convert one of our twin cameras with the 4 pin connector, in to a 6 pin PS2 connector to work on the Sargent Electrical system mentioned.

We do not recommend trying these on any other system as the pin-outs may be different, we will not be held responsible for experimenting by trial and error with these adaptors.

Which adaptor do I need?

If you just need to replace a twin lens camera then choose the side required from below:

Driving/Rear View Camera = CAM99M

Parking/Reversing Camera = CAB99M-Ch2*

If you need to replace both sides of a twin lens camera = CAB99M+CAB99M-Ch2*

If you are removing the EM5.6 box and wish to convert both sides of the cable to 4 pin to use one of our systems = CAB99M+CAB99F

*CAB99M-Ch2 has a tail coming off from the adaptor, this has been designed to be soldered to the reversing light feed that goes to the existing parking camera (often orange in colour).  The original will have a spade connector, our wire is too fine to add the connector on to, so this must instead be soldered.

FAQ'S

Absolutely not. Most cameras only require between 3-4 pins to be in use.  On the reversing camera, the adaptor does have a tail coming off (similar to what is on the original camera), this does allow the reverse light feed to run down one of the 6 pins to the EM 5 Series box at the front of the vehicle.

Many hundreds.  We have had no issues in replacing the cameras with one of ours.  The original supplier is presently referring customers to us for replacements.
