Bullet Bumper Reversing Camera | Sony CCD | 4 pin connector | CAM038
Description
Flush fitting Bumper Reversing Camera fitted with a premium Hi-Res 600TVL 1/3" Sony CCD image sensorThis camera is very flexible in where it is mounted, if there is a flat surface (eg bumper) where you can access the rear to tighten up, then it can be fitted. This camera is unlike similar looking cameras as it has a mechanical seal, the front is screwed on using a thread and secured against a rubber seal. This stops the problem we have seen with other manufacturers, where sealant is used to glue the glass in and if it isn't perfect then water can get in. Image Sensor for CameraAn image sensor is the part of the camera that detects and captures information to make an image, there are various sizes of sensor usually between 1/4" and 1/3" with the larger sensors able to capture more detail. In the old days, you used to have to pick CCD for quality as CMOS wasn't as good, this has changed recently with some advancements in CMOS technology (there are varying quality levels of CMOS to confuse matters). In this particular kit, we are using the Sony 1/3" CCD 600TVL image sensor inside the camera. We consider this the joint second-best image sensor in terms of picture quality you can get on a reversing camera. The approximate viewing angle is 90 degrees (D). The camera has the 4 pin plug on its fly lead, this is waterproof. The camera is waterproof up to IP68. Camera works on 12V but if you buy with a 12V/24V monitor, the monitor reduces the voltage down to 12V. This is the norm, and most 24V systems actually only supply 12V to the camera. |
