Quick Release Monitor Bracket for Stand Style Monitors | ACC041
Description
This fits any of our monitors with the slide channel mounting on the back, which is currently all of our dash monitors. It has a part that you attach to the fixings channel on the back of your monitor. The rest of the bracket fits on to the dash of your vehicle and remains there. There is a thumb release switch on the back of the base of this bracket, which when pressed releases the monitor allowing it to slide up and away. To re-install the monitor you simply slide the monitor back down until you hear a click and that indicates it is locked in place. The bracket locking mechanism is very good and doesn't add any extra play, we have even had people mount these on the ceiling (not with just the adhesive pad though) and the locking mechanism will hold it securely despite being upside down and more pressure being applied against the locking part. The footprint of the base has a self-adhesive pad as well as some holes should you wish to doubly reinforce the base, the feet are bendable to fit the contours of the dash and can even be cut if a perfect fit requires doing so. When using the self-adhesive pad we recommend giving the area you intend to mount this a clean and dry to give the pad a clean surface to bond with (years of dash-shine sprays can make surfaces a little too oily). Below is an animated gif showing the removal of a monitor (not included) that is using the quick-release bracket and shows how quickly the process is. |
